Barbara Basting

Barbara Basting, born in 1963, earned her degree in Romance and German Studies and in Philosophy at the University of Konstanz and the Sorbonne in Paris. Ms. Basting has worked as a journalist since 1986. She was an editor at the Swiss magazine “du” from 1989–1999; afterwards she worked on a freelance basis. In 2001 she began work as editor of the cultural desk at the Swiss newspaper «Tages-Anzeiger» in Zurich, and has been editor/head of team at Swiss Radio DRS2 since 2009. Barbara Basting is visiting lecturer at various institutions, including the Basel School of Design (FHNW) and the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).
