Kathy Riklin

Kathy Riklin, Dr. sc. nat. ETH, born 1952, studied geology and geography at the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich and obtained a doctorate in geology/petrography. After completion of her degree, she worked as a teaching and research associate lecturer at the Institute of Mineralogy and Petrography for many years before she took up a teaching position at the Kantonale Maturitätsschule Zürich (KME). Dr. Riklin was a municipal councilor of the City of Zurich from 1982 to 2001. In 1999 she was elected National Councilor and member of the Committee for Science, Education and Culture over which she presided.
Kathy Riklin is also President of the Swiss Society for Geothermy, the Advisory Board on Climate Change (OcCC), the Forum VERA and a member of several other societies and boards.
