Would you like to analyze DNA or see your own genetic fingerprint? How about discussing the real-world impact scientific findings have with the researchers making them? If you are interested in life sciences, you should take a look at the program offered by the Life Science Zurich – Learning Center ( the LSLC) of the University of Zurich and the ETH Zurich.
The two Zurich universities offer a program that includes courses, experiments, and tours through labs and research institutes.
The program is directed toward high school students, teachers, and all other people who love life sciences; individual students, but also whole classes from schools are invited. People studying to teach at Swiss matura schools can also attend special training modules that discuss a specific subject area and offer ideas on how to teach it. Biology teachers can meet at the LSLC symposium to listen to talks and attend workshops.
There are other offers directed toward people working in life sciences as well as toward people who are simply interested in this field: Everyone is invited to explore life sciences in a cutting-edge academic setting and to discover this fascinating area first-hand.
