General Information on Application Compulsory Matriculation Matriculation is the prerequisite to studying at the University of Zurich. Upon matriculating, students are legally entitled to benefit from the University's services. Application Deadlines Please note the application deadlines when applying to study in a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree program, or when applying to the teacher-training program for upper secondary education. Language Requirements for German/English Non-German-speaking applicants for a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, or for the teacher-training program for upper secondary education must present proof of sufficient skills in German. In certain degree programs, this requirement may be substituted by proof of sufficient skills in English. Fees and Contributions Students retain their status as matriculated students by paying the semester fees. Please note that some fees/contributions are compulsory, while others are optional. Special rates for auditors (non-matriculated students) apply.
