Roberto Mazzoni is head of the user
services group of the IT Services
of the University of Zurich. Among the responsiblities of the user services
group is the user support, teaching, database services and
the World Wide Web server
www.uzh.ch of the Univeristy of
Zurich.
As the responsible person for the
web server and related projects, Roberto attended various
conferences.
Together with Ingeborg Zimmermann of the
Main Library
he leaded the
Open
Access project of the
University of Zurich and with his team is responsible for
ZORA, the Zurich Open
Repository and Archive. He also leaded the project with the goal to introduce
anti-plagiarism
software at the University and together with Manfred Schibler (former IBM Switzerland) leaded the project to establish
a groupware solution
for the University. His blog is supporting the groupware usage.
As a climatologist, he has a special preference for
mountains
and therefore spends a lot of his time in the Swiss Alps, with
alpine and x-country skiing in winter and biking and jogging in the warmer seasons. Ever heard about the
