Florian Scheuer, geboren 1980, studierte von 2000 bis 2005 Volkswirtschaftslehre an der Universität Konstanz sowie an der London School of Economics (LSE). Die Promotion erlangte er 2010 am Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, USA. Ab 2010 war er als Assistant Professor am Department of Economics der Stanford University, Stanford, USA, tätig. Er war unter anderem Visiting Scholar an der Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis (2011, 2014) sowie Visiting Professor am Department of Economics der Harvard University, Cambridge (2014) und am Department of Economics der University of California Berkeley (2015). 2015 bis 2016 war er zudem National Fellow an der Hoover Institution der Stanford University. Florian Scheuer erforscht vor allem oekonomische Ungleichheit und ihre wirtschafts- und steuerpolitischen Implikationen.
