Zoological Museum
The collection at theUniversity of Zurich's Zoological Museum is built on the work of the association "Naturforschende Gesellschaft", founded in 1746. In 1833, the collection was integrated into the newly established University and, in 1837, the Canton of Zurich took over the museum. In 1991, the Zoological Museum was renovated and refurbished, and its modernized exhibition has made it one of Zurich's most popular museums in the recent past.
