Fees and contributions
A student remains matriculated and has access to module booking as long as the semester fees are paid by 30 July for the fall semester and 31 January for the spring semester. Fees are charged per semester and based on the number of enrollments. All figures are quoted in Swiss francs (CHF).

Reduced semester fee
Doctoral students with Swiss qualifications pay a reduced semester fee if they submit a degree confirmation of the doctorate signed by the supervising tutor.
Doctoral students with foreign qualifications also require a letter acknowledging the foreign university degree as well as accreditation of the doctorate from the dean's office to be entitled to a reduced semester fee.
Surcharge for students with foreign qualifications
Foreign students who did not obtain their qualification in Switzerland pay an additional amount of CHF 100.

Apart from the semester fee, payment of the following semester contributions is mandatory:

| The Student Body Loan Association grants loans for students enrolled at the University of Zurich to help them complete their studies. | |
| «Solidarity Fund for International Students in Zurich» foundation | 5.— |
| The solidarity fund for foreign students attending the University of Zurich and ETH Zürich supports low-income students from abroad. A maximum of CHF 650 per month can be allocated for a maximum of eight semesters, provided the applicant has successfully completed at least three semesters at the University of Zurich or ETH Zürich.

Withdrawal
The withdrawal of an enrollment that has already been submitted or the reimbursement of university and semester fees that have already been paid is possible until 15 October for the fall semester and until 15 March for the spring semester. Applications for the reimbursement of fees must be sent in writing to the Student Administration Office of the University of Zurich by these deadlines. A processing fee of CHF 50 will be charged.
