Restrictions on admission
There is an annual limit to the number of students accepted to study medicine at the University of Zurich. This applies to all degree programs in medicine: human medicine, chiropractic, dentistry and veterinary medicine. The restrictions on admission are in effect at both the Bachelor and the Master’s level. Because the number of students is limited, students with foreign qualifications will only be accepted to the program if they have a residence permit approved by the UZH (see "Verordnung über die Zulassungsbeschränkungen zu den medizinischen Studiengängen der Universität Zürich") and there is physical capacity for them in Zurich.
Conditions for admission
In addition to the restrictions on admission, students will only be accepted to the program if they fulfill the general requirements in keeping with the Verordnung über die Zulassung zum Studium (ordinance on admission to studies at the UZH) (in German only) and, particularly for bachelor's degree programs, with the country specific conditions for admission (in German.)
