Die HBZ kann infolge budgetärer Sparmassnahmen ab 2017 den Zugang zu einer Reihe von E-Library-Produkten nicht mehr finanzieren. Neben der Kürzung, die alle Einheiten der UZH betrifft, bestehen aufgrund von Sonderfinanzierungen einiger Angebote und buchhalterischer Massnahmen 2017 kurzfristig zusätzliche finanzielle Engpässe.

Folgende Produkte wurden per Ende 2016 gekündigt:

• Diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders (DSM-5) online
• Thieme examen online Vorklinik
• Visible Body (3D Anatomie-Lernprogramm)

Zur Weiterführung folgender Produkte konnte noch keine finanzielle Regelung erwirkt werden:

• IEEE Xplore (nicht mehr verfügbar ab 16.12.2016)
• Scopus (nicht mehr verfügbar ab 16.2.2017)
• Wiley Current Protocols (nicht mehr verfügbar ab 31.1.2017)

Der Kauf folgender E-Book-Pakete kann für 2017 nicht gewährleistet werden:

• Springer Medizin 2017 Deutsch
• Springer Medicine 2017 Englisch
• Springer Naturwissenschaften 2017 Deutsch
• Springer Biomedical and Life Science 2017 Englisch
• Springer Mathematics and Statistics 2017 Englisch

Wir bedauern die Kurzfristigkeit dieser Massnahmen. Wir hoffen auf Ihr Verständnis und werden uns für die Weiterführung des Angebots im Gespräch mit der Universitätsleitung und den Fakultäten einsetzen.

Due to budgetary saving measures for 2017, the HBZ is no longer able to finance access to a number of e-library products. In addition to the budget cut, which affects all units of the UZH, the special financing of some offers and new accounting measures lead to a short-term financial shortage.

The following products have been cancelled by the end of 2016:

• Diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders (DSM-5) online
• Thieme examen online Vorklinik
• Visible Body (3D interactive anatomy application)

No financial settlement has yet been obtained for the continuation of the following products:

• IEEE Xplore (no longer available since 12/16/2016)
• Scopus (no longer available from 2/16/2017)
• Wiley Current Protocols (no longer available from 1/31/2017)

The purchase of the following e-book packages can not be guaranteed for 2017:

• Springer Medizin 2017 German
• Springer Medicine 2017 English
• Springer Naturwissenschaften 2017 German
• Springer Biomedical and Life Science 2017 English
• Springer Mathematics and Statistics 2017 English

We regret the short notice and nature of these measures. We thank you for your understanding and will continue to work on a mutual solution for the renewal of these products together with the university management and the faculties.
