Since the beginning of 2019, scientists at the University of Zurich have been able to publish articles* free of charge in journals of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) with Open Access. As a condition, the corresponding author of the submitted article must be employed at the University of Zurich. When submitting the manuscript, the UZH e-mail address must be provided in order to take advantage of this offer. The offer includes all journals of the Royal Society of Chemistry except RSC Advances.

This agreement with RSC is the first Read & Publish agreement for the UZH. This ensures electronic access to all journals and also gives UZH authors the opportunity to publish free of charge with Open Access. For the University of Zurich, this represents an important step in the implementation of swissuniversities’ National Open Access strategy.

Further information on the financing and discounts of Open Access publications at the UZH can be found here.
