After a 2-year preliminary project, the Main Library (HBZ) has started a new range of services in the field of research data management at the end of 2018:

A) Support and courses

  • Servicedesk for researchers of all faculties of the UZH on research data management issues (including data management plans)
  • Courses and Presentations

B) Projects (current)

  • SWISSUbase (development of data repository in cooperation with University of Lausanne and FORS)
  • NIE-INE (National Infrastructure for Editions – Cooperation with the University of Basel)

The Data Service Center cooperates closely with the Zentralbibliothek Zürich and S3IT (Zentrale Informatik). An employee of the Zentralbibliothek is responsible for research data management in the humanities and social sciences. S3IT (Zentrale Informatik) is an implementation partner in the technical field.

A new department Data Services and Open Access has been set up at the Main Library for this purpose. Questions about the range of services are gladly answered by our DSOA contact persons.
