As of today, you have access to the entire scientific media inventory of Switzerland via the research platform swisscovery. swisscovery replaces the previous library networks and research portals.

User account

Where can I register?

You register via the SLSP registration platform.

Support:

After successful registration with SLSP, you can use your SWITCH edu-ID account for all SLSP libraries.

Why does my previous library account no longer work?

For technical reasons, NEBIS library accounts can no longer be used for swisscovery.

Can I keep my current library card?

Yes, you have the possibility to indicate the number of your library card when you register.

Can companies also register?

SWITCH edu-ID can only be used for personal accounts. If you need an impersonal account for your company/institution/library, please apply for an account for SLSP at swisscovery@slsp.ch. Impersonal accounts can be used like personal accounts for all SLSP libraries.

Can people residing outside of Switzerland also register?

Even users without a Swiss postal address can create a SWITCH edu-ID account. Please note that the SLSP libraries may only offer you limited services depending on where you live.

Where can I view my loans in swisscovery?

You can view your loans from 7.12.2020 onwards in your user account.

Where can I view my loans before switching to swisscovery?

Your loans with a loan date up to and including December 2, 2020 can be viewed in your NEBIS user account until March 2021. Please use your NEBIS library login when you register.

Why can I not renew my loans in my NEBIS account?

Renewal is technically no longer possible.

Do I have to identify myself at the counter of my library after registration?

You do not have to identify yourself. Your e-mail address and your cell phone number will be verified during registration.

Why are my reservations and my borrowing history not transferred to swisscovery?

A migration of the reservations and lending histories into the new system was unfortunately not possible for technical and data protection reasons. You can re-reserve the documents in swisscovery.
