Visible Body, the atlas of human anatomy, is now available.

Visible Body contains:

  • comprehensive macroscopic 3D anatomy models of all body regions of the male and female body
  • all body systems
  • detailed definitions and Latin names
  • descriptions of injuries, diseases and pathologies
  • a Gross Anatomy Lab that allows virtual dissection
  • many cross sections in the model with corresponding cadaveric preparation and CT scan
  • microanatomical models of tissues and special organs
  • muscle actions on rotatable and moving 3D models

Visible Body in web browser:
The browser app can be used in Firefox, Chrome, or Safari. To save notecards and favorites, a personal account must be created.

Visible Body App on iOS and Android:
Load the Human Anatomy Atlas 2020 app for institute licenses. When opening the app for the first time, you have to be connected to the UZH network or with VPN. After that, offline use is possible for up to 150 days. Each time the app is reopened within the UZH network (or VPN-connected), offline use is extended for another 150 days.
Notecards and favorites can also be saved in the mobile app without an account.

The app is available in German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese. The language can be easily changed in the settings.

Unfortunately, the license for the anatomy atlas Complete Anatomy from 3D4Medical / Elsevier can not be continued in 2021.
