DDIS helps the City of Zurich to put the first Swiss Open Government Data Site Online

The city of Zurich announced today that it will publish Switzerland’s first Open Government Data site on June 28, 2012 at http://data.stadt-zuerich.ch. DDIS members Mengia Zollinger and Abraham Bernstein contributed to this effort.

The project, which is part of the city of Zurich’s eZurich initiative, will provide the public with a variety of datasets collected within the city’s administration. The project was announced today in a press release.

The project was supported by a number of people from within the administration (including individuals from the IT and Organization, Statistics, and Geomatics Department). In addition the following individuals volunteered their time:
