Let’s make company and market analyses easy: Global Data Explorer (GDX) – formerly known as MarketLine – has been expanded massively and offers a broad database for business analyses.


The Global Data Explorer database enables market, sector and company research worldwide. GDX covers all major industries, facilitates effective analysis and comparison of sectors, and identifies key market drivers. Compared to its predecessor MarketLine, GDX covers a significantly expanded range of data.


In addition, the database offers an improved and more user-friendly interface. The platform contains profiles of more than 750,000 companies, analyst opinions, cross-sector information, and country/city profiles.


The following information and data are available in an easy-to-use format:

  • More than 18,000 industry profiles for research by sectors and markets in various states or groups of states.
  • Approx. 34,000 company profiles with data on company history, business activities and competitor companies, some including SWOT analyses (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat)

  • More than 3000 city data, indicators on urban economy, and politics for metropolises worldwide
