Ab sofort können Angehörige der UZH sich unter www.overleaf.com/edu/uzh für die Nutzung der Collaborativen LaTeX Lösung Overleaf Commons registrieren.

Die UZH stellt allen Studierenden und Mitarbeitenden die Lösung zur Verfügung. Über 800 Benutzerinnen und Benutzer, welche sich bei Overleaf bereits mit Ihrer UZH E-Mail Adresse registriert hatten, haben automatisch ein Upgrade erhalten und ihr Account wurde zu einem Professional Account hochgestuft. Neue Benutzerinnen und Benutzer können sich gegenwärtig via AAI bei Overleaf registrieren und erhalten so einen Professional Overleaf Account. Angehörige der UZH, welche sich nicht mir der UZH E-Mail Adresse registriert haben, können ihren Overleaf Account via AAI linken. Datenschutzrechtlich hat die Abteilung Recht- und Datenschutz die Nutzung unter folgendem Vorbehalt freigegen:
Vor dem Hintergrund, dass die Textverarbeitungssoftware im wissenschaftlichen Umfeld für wissenschaftliche Publikationen verwendet werden soll und ja keine hochsensiblen Personendaten (wie Gesundheitsdaten etc.) geteilt werden, ist das  Datenschutz-Addendum akzeptabel.

Beachten Sie bitte, dass dies für die Daten bei Overleaf gilt, nicht aber für die weiteren integrierbaren Dienste wie Dropbox.

From now on members of the UZH can register at www.overleaf.com/edu/uzh for the use of the collaborative LaTeX solution Overleaf Commons.

The UZH makes the solution available to all students and staff. Over 800 users who had already registered with Overleaf using their UZH email address automatically received an upgrade and their account was upgraded to a Professional Account. New users can currently register with Overleaf using AAI and receive a Professional Overleaf Account. Members of the UZH who have not registered with the UZH email address may link their account with AAI. You can find more information in UZH Connect in the Overleaf Community.

The legal and data protection department has released the use under the following conditions:
In view of the fact that the word processing software is to be used in a scientific environment for scientific publications and that no highly sensitive personal data (such as health data etc.) are shared, the data protection addendum is acceptable.

Please note that this applies to data stored with Overleaf, but not to other integrated services such as Dropbox.
