About us

Welcome to the website of the Fachverein Sinologie, the official Sinology student association. Our primary function is to act as an intermediary between the student body and the faculty administration at the Asien-Orient-Institut in cooperation with the student associations of Japanology, Islamic studies, and Indology. Furthermore, we aim to connect the students of Sinology by regularly providing news concerning Sinology as well as by organizing extracurricular events.

• The sharing of information about everything from the field of Chinese studies that could be of interest to our students.
• Representation of our students at the Institute Assembly
• Organization of student events (welcome aperitif for students in their first semester, guest lectures, student dinner, culinary events, movie showings etc.)
