Partnership with Freie Universität Berlin

Closer cooperation in research

In 2017, Professor Michael O. Hengartner, then President of the University of Zurich, and Professor Peter-André Alt, President of Freie Universität Berlin, signed an agreement to form a joint strategic partnership.

The two universities have a long tradition of close links, and the bond continues to grow in research activities in particular. The collaboration is further strengthened by active student exchanges across several subject fields.
