THE-Ranking 2020: UZH Keeps Top Ranking
The University of Zurich has kept its 90th position in the 2020 Times Higher Education World University ranking, for which just under 1,400 universities were evaluated. The ranking is based on a survey of highly respected academics who, on invitation by THE, are asked to identify the world’s best universities. ETH Zurich and EPFL Lausanne are first and second among universities in Switzerland, while the University of Zurich ranks third ahead of the universities of Basel, Bern and Geneva.
Academic Ranking of World Universities 2019: UZH in 61st Place
In this year’s Academic Ranking of World Universities, UZH has consolidated its previous standing among the top two-thirds of the world’s 100 best universities. UZH ranks in the top three of Swiss universities, behind ETH Zurich and the University of Geneva.
QS World University Rankings 2020: UZH Climbs to 76th Place
UZH has jumped up two places in this year’s QS World University Rankings, coming in 76th of around 1,000 universities assessed. This means UZH remains the best-ranked comprehensive university in Switzerland.
Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2019
The University of Zurich has achieved excellent results in this year’s ShanghaiRanking Global Ranking of Academic Subjects. In the category Human Biological Sciences in particular, UZH has climbed up 24 places and ranks 7th of all universities in the world.
U-Multirank Ranking 2019: Top Rankings for UZH
The University of Zurich has obtained top places in 14 of 30 indicators in the U-Multirank Ranking, particularly in the areas of research, knowledge transfer and international orientation. Its performance is stable in comparison with previous years.
Leiden Ranking 2019: UZH in 13th Position
The University of Zurich’s position in the Leiden Ranking remains stable, at 13th best in Europe. In the subject groups “Physical Sciences and Engineering” and “Social Sciences and Humanities”, UZH has achieved a significantly higher rank than previous years. In addition, it is the best Swiss university in the “Open Access” category.
