Experience in Oral History

  • Participated in the Oral History program of the History Department in the European University at St. Petersburg (2001-2003)
  • Studied oral history in Indiana University (Bloomington, USA) during short term fellowship in 2002
  • Coordinated the work of the Oral History Center at the European University at St.Petersburg (2004-2008);
  • Organized and took biographical narrative interviews with siege survivors for research  project “The siege of Leningrad in the Individual and Collective Memory of St. Petersburg citizens” (European University at St. Petersburg ) (2002-2003)
  • Organized and took semi-structured biographical interviews with former workers for the project “The BAM as viewed from the Capital:  its Representation in Soviet Propaganda and its Impact on Life Stories and Identities of former BAM builders» (Center of the Independent Sociological Research, Oral History Center of the European University at St. Petersburg) (2006-2007)
  • Took focused semi-structured interviews with teachers , parents, and children of migrants for the project “Migration Processes and Education. Migrant Children at School” of the Laboratory of Sociology in Education and Science of at the State University Higher School of Economics (HSE), St. Petersburg (2010)
  • Organized and took focused interviews with Russian businessmen for the research project ‘Rules for the Russian business ’of the Institute for the Rule of Law (IRL) at the European University at St. Petersburg (EUSPb) (2011)
