On Sunday you will be welcomed at Monte Verità with an Apéro in the early evening, followed by a dinner at the Restaurant Monte Verità and a movie night in the Auditorium.
Brissago Islands with Botanical Garden
The ADLD conference will offer many opportunities for networking and informal exchanges, including a touristic event on Wednesday afternoon. After a walk to the port in Ascona, we will head by boat to the beautiful Brissago Islands, more precisely to the Isola Grande.
The Brissago Islands date back to the Roman time (vestiges of that time have been found on the islands) but became particularly famous thanks to the fascinating Russian Baroness Antoinette de Saint Léger, who owned the Islands (1885-1927) and launched an intense cultural activity. At the same time, she started what has become a unique botanical garden in Switzerland with 1500 plant species both indigenous and from sub-tropical zones.
After a guided visit of these botanical gardens and some free time on the island, we will have our conference dinner off-site and head back to Monte Verità with Mini Busses.
