Political Communication

Media environments and political communication systems have changed fundamentally with the increasing proliferation of digital, social and mobile media. These changes have major ramifications for political parties, politicians, media and citizens alike, but also offer opportunities. In research and teaching, we address consequences of this process of change and examine political content in traditional mass media as well as online and social media to understand how recipients process this content and how it affects their attitudes and behavior.
