Marcela Ibáñez is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Chair of Political Economy and Development of Professor Katharina Michaelowa in Spring 2023. She is about to obtain her Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Mannheim. Her research interests include sustainability projects in developing economies, development and security after peace agreements, party politics after civil war, equality of opportunity, and vulnerability reduction in the aftermath of conflict. Methodologically, she resorts to (quasi)experimental designs, survey designs, and quantitative text analysis. She holds MA degrees in Political Science and Security Studies from the University of Mannheim and Charles University in Prague.
