Description

This course provides and introduction to Quantum Field Theory and Particle Physics Phenomenology. The main subjects are:

  • Relativistic kinematics
  • Basics of Quantum Field Theory (Lagrangian formalism, Feynman rules)
  • Quantum Electrodynamics (QED)
  • Gauge symmetries
  • Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) and Parton Model
  • Electroweak Standard Model
  • Higgs mechanism
  • Flavour Physics in the Quark and Neutrino Sectors
