Research Interests

Our research interest is focused on craniofacial deviations (e.g. skeletal class III) and anomalies (e.g. cleft lip and palate, especially Pierre Robin Sequence), including understanding of aetiology and pathogenesis, improvement of diagnostics and differentiation between various subtypes, epidemiology, craniofacial morphology comprising airway dimensions (from childhood to adulthood) and treatment methods. Additionally, the outcome of the Zürich interdisciplinary approach to the treatment of patients with cleft lip and palate is being evaluated, also in comparison with other centres.
