Who Can Be a Visiting Student?
Visiting student status may be given to students who are matriculated at a foreign university that does not have a mobility agreement with the University of Zurich. These students wish to transfer academic achievement earned at UZH to their home university, and they independently organize their stay at the University.
If you are interested, please contact the International Relations Office before you submit an application to be granted status as a visiting student. The team there can clarify whether there is actually no agreement on mobility between your university and the University of Zurich. A useful resource to find this information is the Office's database on agreements for student mobility.
Due to the limited number of students allowed in the degree programs, no visiting students are admitted to the Faculty of Medicine or the Vetsuisse Faculty.
Prerequisite for admission is at least two semesters of study in the same discipline at an accredited foreign university.
Limited Duration of Study
Matriculation for visiting students is limited to two semesters.
Visiting students may earn ECTS credits but not an academic degree at UZH.
Visiting students are exempted from the requirement to submit proof of proficiency in the language of instruction.
The application deadlines are the same as those for regular students.
