Account Request

Once you have received your Event-ID from the Congress organizers, please use the following form to get your personal visitor account (self-registration).

Insert User Information

After a successful submission your account is being activated for the duration of the conference. Please write down your user-name and password, or store them locally on your computer. You can access the Internet at our workplaces with access to the LAN or in areas with access to the WLAN public of our university.

Log-in to the Internet

  1. Start your web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla, Firefox etc.).
  2. Open any remote web page, eg. www.google.com.
  3. You will be redirected to the University GATE site.
  4. Log-in to the Internet using your user-name and password.
  5. Accept the certificate permanently and ignore the following warning.
  6. You now have Internet access. Repeat the above steps if you lose your connection.

E-mail for congress participants

Connections to an external mail server using SMTP port 25 is not possible. To send e-mails, the following options are available:

  • Use your webmail, if you have such.
  • Send the e-mail from your mail client through an SMTP submission port (587 and 456 respectively).
  • Use VPN, if your company runs a VPN-Server and the client on your device is configured accordingly.
