Elena joined our group as a PhD student in January 2014, having pursued her undergraduate studies at the Universities of Siena and Pisa in Italy.
She participated in the operation and monitoring of the Silicon Tracker and studied lepton universality using semileptonic b-baryon decays. After defending her PhD thesis in March 2018, Elena continued to work with us for another nine months, funded through a Forschungskredit that she was awarded by University of Zurich. Elena left our group at the end of January 2019 to take up a PostDoc position at EPFL, where she will continue to work on the LHCb experiment.
