General Terms and Conditions for fee-based courses

Enrollment

Please enroll during the enrollment period on the Language Center website. The closing date for enrollments is listed in each course description. Late enrollments can be considered only if there are still available places on a course. Once you have received a confirmation email from the Language Center, your enrollment is binding.

Withdrawal

You can withdraw your enrollment free of charge until the end of the enrollment period. You will be charged the full course fee if you withdraw after the end of the enrollment period and/or if you fail to attend the course. Withdrawals must be made in writing by email to the Language Center Secretariat. Verbal and/or written withdrawals made directly to course lecturers are not valid. Failure to pay, or partial payment of, the course fee does not constitute a withdrawal.

Course cancellations, merging of courses, and substitution of lecturers

The Language Center reserves the right to cancel courses at short notice if enrollment numbers are too low, if a lecturer is unable to teach a course, and/or for other significant reasons. In such cases, the full course fee will be refunded. Any further claims by course participants are excluded. If the number of participants drops significantly, the Language Center may merge parallel courses. Some courses may be given by lecturers who are not listed in the course description if, for example, there are several parallel courses or if a course is taught by a substitute lecturer.
