Giulia Frascaria has been a Research and Teaching Associate and a DSI Excellence Program doctoral student in the Division of Media Change & Innovation at the Department of Communication and Media Research (IKMZ), University of Zurich since February 2023.

Her research focuses on the Internet of Bodies, transhumanism and cyborgization as indicators of a religion-like digitalisation.

She holds a B.Eng. in Computer Engineering from the University of Tor Vergata (Italy), a M.Sc. in Computer Science from Vrije Universiteit (Netherlands) and a M.A. in Literature, Culture and Society from the University of Amsterdam (Netherlands).
