Open Positions

In our group, it is a priority to continuously foster a supportive environment and culture in which all members thrive to elevate each other so we can be successful as a team. To maintain  and further improve this group culture, we are seeking creative-thinking individuals that are interested in tackling real-world challenges for next-generation science and technology. It is our inherent conviction that People of all genders, backgrounds and ethnicities are equally suited to carry out excellent science and deserve equal opportunities. Therefore, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive research group, and are 100% LGBTQ+ friendly.

Neutron- and X-ray scattering on Topological Magnets

Your tasks

  • Basic research on strongly correlated f–electron materials that are candidates for nontrivial topological magnetic states
  • Material characterization using bulk laboratory methods such as electrical transport, magnetization and specific heat
  • Carry out experiments at neutron scattering and synchrotron user facilities
  • Analyze complex data sets from diffraction and spectroscopy experiments
  • Publishing of scientific articles, contribution to conferences

Your profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a PhD degree in physics, chemistry, material science or a related field. A track record in neutron and/or X-ray scattering techniques is an advantage. Experience in the study of strongly correlated electron systems and/or topological magnets is desirable. You are interested in doing research of the highest quality and disseminate your results via publications and conference presentations. You are highly motivated, creative and have excellent team and communication skills. Good command of English is necessary.
