Danyang Liu

Danyang Liu was a PhD student at the University of Zurich and graduated in September 2023. She earned her master’s degree in physics and bachelor’s degree in engineering at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Her PhD work focused on molecular and atomic scale magnetism with scanning tunneling microscope (STM) and quasiparticle interference (QPI) on molecule-metal interface and superconducting materials. Danyang has successfully applied for research funding of CHF 65’177 for her research abroad and in Switzerland. Danyang aspires to functionalize the STM tip as a spin detector and study molecule-engineered 2D materials.
