ITI Scholars spend one year (September 1 to August 31)
at the Clinic of Reconstructive Dentistry.

Scholarship application at https://www.iti.org/scholarships/scholarship-program

The ITI Scholar will participate in the following clinical activities:

  • Treatment planning sessions
  • Observing clinical patient treatment
  • Assisting in patient treatment

The Scholar's time will be allocated to the activities below as follows (estimate):

  • 50% observation and assisting in the clinic
  • 50% dedicated to research

ITI Scholars at our clinic are able to learn about every phase of therapy using dental implants, including treatment planning, execution of preparatory, surgical and prosthetic as well as follow-up therapy. They take part in weekly treatment planning sessions, literature discussions and seminars. There is also a monthly journal club meeting that includes all the journals that are relevant in the field of implant and reconstructive dentistry.

ITI Scholars can observe and assist in surgical and restorative procedures on a daily basis, experiencing each step of a comprehensive therapy from the initial examination to the surgical phase until the final reconstruction. ITI Scholars cannot treat patients independently. ITI Scholars are further involved in the clinic’s continuing education courses on surgical and prosthetic topics related to implant dentistry. Research activities as co-investigators in the above-mentioned fields are expected and encouraged.
