Research Priority Programs

UZH facilitates and fosters excellent research that refines and develops our existing fields and opens up promising and innovative research approaches. In doing so, UZH is committed to embracing diverse and equal research cultures, inter- and transdisciplinarity, independent and free research as well as close national and international cooperation.

National Centers of Competence in Research

The Swiss National Science Foundation promotes National Centers of Competence in Research (NCCRs) which have special emphasis on both interdisciplinary and innovative approaches within the disciplines involved. The University of Zurich serves as leading house for the NCCRs "Kidney.CH" and "Evolving Language" and is involved in ten other NCCRS.
