Multiple recognition of the achievements of our researchers

Anne Brenøe and Ana Costa-Ramón received an SNSF grant of CHF 590 000 for the project "(Not) Thinking About the Future: Financial Awareness and Maternal Labour Force Participation". The aim of this project is to investigate whether raising mothers' awareness of the long-term financial consequences of reducing their workload influences their decision.

David Dorn receives the German Economic Association's most prestigious academic prize, the Hermann-Heinrich-Gossen award. The prize is conferred annually to the best economist under age 45 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Joachim Voth and co-author Bruno Caprettini (University of St. Gallen) receive the Diligentia Prize for Empirical Research. Every year, the Diligentia Foundation awards outstanding empirical and experimental research that has produced innovative results for socially relevant issues.
Paper: New deal, new patriots

Michael Wolf was elected SoFiE Fellow by the Society for Financial Econometrics (SoFiE) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to financial econometrics. The organisation, based at New York University, comprises a global network of scholars dedicated to research in the field of financial econometrics. 

Ulf Zölitz was appointed Associate Professor ad personam for the Economics of Child and Youth Development by the University Council. Ulf Zölitz joined the Department of Economics in 2017 as Assistant Professor for the Economics of Child and Youth Development.
