Auditors

As an auditor – a non-matriculated student – you can attend regular lectures at the University of Zurich to acquire knowledge for your personal benefit. Auditors are, however, not permitted to take exams and do not receive credits for coursework. The registration fees depend on the number of selected lectures.

Registration as an Auditor

Please proceed as follows to register as an auditor:

1. Select Courses

All courses for the current and the coming semester are listed in the University of Zurich's course catalogue. You can find those courses that are open for auditors as follows.

  • Open the Course catalogue.
  • Go to "Search".
  • Choose "Search Courses".
  • Mark "Open to auditors".

2. Registration

Register in the webshop for the chosen courses. Please enter the desired courses there. You will then be automatically redirected to the electronic payment:

Registration is valid for one semester at a time and is possible from 15 August for the Fall Semester and from 15 January for the Spring Semester.

Fees

The fees per semester are:

  • For 1–2 lessons per week CHF 110.00
  • For each additional lesson CHF 55.00 (max. 12 lessons)

Access to Learning Platform OLAT

For some lectures there is an OLAT course for registration with a SWITCH Edu ID. How you can get a SWITCH Edu ID, you can find under the following link.

Auditors do not get an access to an IT account and further services.
