Delegate of the Executive Board for the Project "Museums and Collections"

Felix Althaus, professor emeritus of pharmacology and toxicology, was Dean of the Vetsuisse Faculty Zurich for four terms and chair of the management board of the Vetsuisse Faculty Switzerland, which was founded in 2006. After earning his degree in veterinary medicine, he completed the postgraduate study program in experimental medicine and biology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zurich.

He was awarded a four-year research fellowship of the US National Institute of Health to work at the McArdle Institute for Cancer Research in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. In 1992, he received offers from the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and the University of Zurich. He selected Zurich, where, as full professor of pharmacology, he was also head of the Institute of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology. From 2002–2008, he was head of the National Research Program “Endocrine Disruptors” in 2015, he retired and was awarded the status of professor emeritus.
