Brief Profile

Dr. Andreas Dudler, born in 1957, studied mathematics at ETH Zurich. After completing his doctorate, he joined ETH Zurich, where he headed IT Services. Andreas Dudler served first as president and then, from 2011 to 2020, as director of the Swiss foundation SWITCH, which provides high-quality ICT services to Swiss education and research institutions. From 2013 to 2018, he served on the board of directors of SWITCHplus, a subsidiary of SWITCH, during its start-up phase. Andreas Dudler has been involved in several evaluations of technical infrastructure at higher education institutions in Switzerland and abroad. From 2017 to 2022, he was a member of the steering committee of GÉANT, serving as chair of the board for the final two years. GÉANT is an alliance of around 40 research and education networks in Europe.
