Didactics of Media and Computer Science (joint degree)

The rapid developments in mediatization and digitalization are significantly shaping our society. The study program in Media and Computer Science Education provides you with up-to-date knowledge on teaching and learning about media- and communication-related as well as computer-science phenomena, and on researching these teaching and learning processes. With this Master’s degree, you help shape a dynamic field that is gaining increasing relevance in our society.

You will study at four partner institutions and benefit from an interdisciplinary education:

• Media Studies: University of Zurich
• Computer Science: Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts

The Master’s program in Media and Computer Science Education qualifies you in particular for teaching positions in teacher education and continuing education at universities of teacher education, for advising schools, school administrations, and teachers, for developing teaching materials, for research activities, and for other professions and roles dealing with the teaching of didactic competencies in the fields of media and computer science. With a strong Master’s degree, doctoral studies are possible, which further qualify you for advanced roles in teaching and research.
