Interdisciplinary Courses
School for Transdisciplinary Studies
The School for Transdisciplinary Studies (STS) offers inter- and transdisciplinary courses and transferable competence courses to Bachelor’s and Master’s students from all faculties. The courses address future-relevant, cross-sectional areas and provide students with an excellent opportunity to broaden their horizon beyond their own academic field and to network with students and experts from a wide range of disciplines – in order to become innovative shapers of tomorrow.
Inter- and Transdisciplinary Courses
The academic inter- and transdisciplinary courses cover future-oriented cross-cutting topics such as digital transformation, sustainable development, innovation and entrepreneurship, diversity or citizen science and address current issues in the context of the so-called grand challenges.

Future Skills
The Future Skills courses complement the inter- and transdisciplinary courses with a focus on action and problem-solving skills. Due to their cross-disciplinary orientation and high practical relevance, they enable the acquisition of future-oriented, transversal competencies and methods.

Interdisciplinary Master's Study Programs
The transdisciplinary minor programs “Digital Skills” and “Innovation & Entrepreneurship” complement the master’s study program by providing practical and future-oriented skills.
DSI Minor Digital Skills
In the Master's minor study program in Digital Skills, you will learn how to meet the challenges of digital transformation and make the most of the opportunities it offers. You gain a multidisciplinary scientific overview of digitalization and are encouraged to critically reflect on its effects on individuals and society as a whole.

Minor Innovation & Entrepreneurship
With the Master's minor study program “Innovation & Entrepreneurship”, you can enhance your profile with future-oriented skills in an interdisciplinary environment. You will gain key future skills such as innovation competence, problem-solving, entrepreneurial thinking and adaptability.
