Speaking, hearing and understanding are crucial elements of healthy living. At the same time, they are essentially involved in any form of medical treatment and are decisive for its success. Language&Medicine exploits this intersection of linguistics and medicine: It brings together interdisciplinary researchers and clinicians to learn from each other and collaborate on topics such as voice, speech and language plasticity, linguistic markers of pathology and challenges of health communication with a view to improving individual and public health.
