Influence of Artistic Practice on Culture Theories

The Center for Arts and Culture Theory (ZKK) brings together researchers from film studies, literary studies and art studies to investigate the influence of artistic and aesthetic practice on the formation of culture theories. At the ZKK, the arts are not considered merely as field for the interpretation of theories, but rather it is assumed that the arts implicitly contain the designs of theories. Thus the arts themselves provide impulses for overcoming and rethinking outdated academic and cultural theoretical concepts.
