In September 2018, the library of the Department of Geography (GIUZ) was integrated into the Main Library – Science (Y15). A large part of the library’s collection is now accessible in the open access area on floor J.

The collection includes not only numerous modern publications on the wide-ranging topics and research areas of geography, but also some rarities from centuries past.

A selection of these rarities – atlases from the 18th and 19th centuries, from handy pocket to heavy, large-format atlas – can be seen in our new exhibition on floor J in the Main Library – Science.
