Why this program?

Our master's degree program enables our candidates to link processes and study the large scope systems of which these processes are part. This skill is highly demanded in a world confronted with multifactorial phenomena like environmental change or food and energy production. Our program offers you the possibility of freely designing your own curriculum, with the support of the scientific coordinator and your thesis supervisor. Interdisciplinary thinking and an independent work style are crucial to your studies and to your future as an Earth System scientist.

What can I do with it later?

Thanks to the social relevance of topics like environmental protection, natural hazards and growing human population, Earth System scientists have a wide choice of professional options, in the private, public or nonprofit sector. Our graduates have excellent career propects in the most diverse fields, like environmental and landscape planing, climatic research or geoinformatics, to name just a few.

The strong analytical background that this Master's degree program provides you with is valued independetly of the sector in which you decide to work and also if you decide to go for a career other than the typical ones for Earth System scientists.

- BSc in Earth System Science
- Similar studies (academic requirements must be fulfilled)
