McGraw-Hill’s trusted Case Files® are the world’s best-selling case library and are available on AccessMedicine in an interactive format. With these regularly updated cases, you can train critical thinking and prepare for clinical practice. They help students learn and apply basic and clinical science concepts in the context of realistic patient cases.

All case files are clearly structured:

  • Case description
  • Question on diagnosis and correct answer including reasoning
  • Clinical approach
  • Clinical pearls
  • References
  • Comprehension questions (free MyAccess Profile required)

The case files on AccessMedicine are directly linked on the HBZ entry page for physicians and health professionals under Multimedia. It is a licensed offer which is only available for the UZH and USZ-employees.

Preannouncement:

AccessMedicine offers far more than just e-books, such as case files, images, videos, podclasses and learning questions. Students and lecturers of MeF are cordially invited to learn about the “Top 10 things you need to know about AccessMedicine” at a lunch offered by McGraw- Hill. A separate announcement blog will be published later.
