More than 400 scientific libraries are joining forces under the Swiss Library Service Platform (SLSP). The implementation of the SLSP system will involve some changes.

What is SLSP?

The SLSP Swiss Library Service Platform cooperation project aims to establish a central service platform for scientific libraries. SLSP replaces the IDS and NEBIS networks.

New search interface «swisscovery»

For the Libraries of the UZH and the Zentralbibliothek, the change to SLSP is an opportunity to intensify cooperation. They will form one unit within the library system.

From December 2020, the holdings of the Libraries of the UZH and the Zentralbibliothek will be searchable via the new research platform «swisscovery». The collections of other scientific libraries in Switzerland can also be searched via «swisscovery». «swisscovery» replaces the existing platforms Rechercheportal, NEBIS-Recherche and swissbib.

Registration and short loan stop

Existing and new customers must register again. They will have only one library account throughout Switzerland and will be able to make changes to their personal data themselves in future. At the beginning of December it will not be possible to borrow books and other documents for a few days. Details of the necessary changes will follow shortly on this channel.
