Admission to a Bachelor’s degree program in sociology is reviewed and granted by the Student Services Office. Consult the admissions prerequisites for a Bachelor’s study program. Bachelor’s programs in sociology are conducted mostly in German, so you need to meet the German-language prerequisite.
Applications for enrollment in a Bachelor’s program must be submitted online. Take heed of the information on the application process and deadlines and the required documents to submit. Applicants must first be granted admission and must pay the semester fees before they may book modules.
Each year, a Student Orientation Day for incoming first-year students is held during the week before lectures start. After the welcome address, students are provided with important information on commencing their studies, the curriculum sequence and the applicable study regulations. Guided tours of the University of Zurich and the Institute of Sociology also take place. You will receive information about the Student Orientation Day along with your letter of admission to the Bachelor’s program.
